Phonak are a Swiss company founded in 1947. Their worldwide HQ is in Stafa, Switzerland, and UK HQ is in Warrington where all their custom products are made. Phonak are a global leader in digital hearing aid technology, FM Listening Systems and dealing with paediatrics with hearing problems. Phonak are owned by Sonova Holding AG (who also own Unitron). Having released their first fully digital hearing aid in 1999, Phonak now have the world's smallest Bluetooth compatible hearing aid in the Phonak Audeo Smart.

These models are made specifically to fit the shape of your ear canal for maximum benefit and the best possible comfort. They are available in many skin tones, are unobtrusive and very effective. The smallest versions sit in your ear canal and are virtually invisible. These models are suitable for mild to severe hearing loss.

These models are smaller than standard BTE models and are available for mild to severe hearing loss. They can be worn comfortably behind the ear. These models are available in many different colors, styles and designs.

BTE models are available for all degrees of hearing loss and, as the name suggests, can be worn comfortably behind the ear. Incoming signals are amplified and transmitted into the ear via very small, unobtrusive tubes. These models are available in many different colors, styles and designs.

Unitron Hearing Aids are a Canadian company founded 40 years ago and now owned by Sonova Holding AG with worldwide HQ in Kitchener, Ontario. UK base is in Warrington in the same HQ as Phonak, where all custom products are made. Both companies have different technology developments but a shared vested interest from it's mother group allows the ompany to enhance it's strength by utilising the same micro-chipset afforded to Phonak (capable of 120 million calculations per second!). Unitron employs 600 people worldwide and distributes into 70 countries.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oticon are a Danish company founded in 1904 by Hans Demant with worldwide HQ in Copenhagen, Denmark and owned by William Demant Holding. Their UK base is in Hamilton, Scotland, where all their custom products are made using the latest 3-dimensional modelling and laser moulding technology. Oticon released their first fully digital hearing aids in 1996, and are now one of the top three hearing aid technology developers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Great Nordic (GN) were founded in 1895. Resound were founded as Danavox in 1943 by Gert Rosenstand. The GN Resound Group now employs 4600 people worldwide, with headquarters in Denmark and is listed on the Copenhagen stock exchange. In 2003 Resound launched the first fully open fitting hearing aid in the Resound Air (also known as the Contact Air). Resound then went on to launch the smallest RIC hearing aid in the Resound Dot, and the smallest remote microphone hearing aid in the Resound BE.
